Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presided over the official launch of the high-level Drug-Free Tamil Nadu campaign in Chennai, with proceedings broadcast live across media networks to mobilize public cooperation against substance abuse. The landmark state convention brought together senior police officials, district collectors, educational institution heads, and student representatives to formulate a unified, uncompromising strategy against illicit narcotics.
During his keynote address, Stalin administered a mass anti-drug pledge to thousands of participating college students and citizens, urging everyone to take personal responsibility for safeguarding their communities from narcotics. He instructed law enforcement agencies to intensify intelligence gathering along coastal transit corridors, intercept synthetic drug shipments, and take stringent preventive detention measures against habitual smugglers and illegal distributors.
The Chief Minister stressed that building a prosperous society requires nurturing healthy, ambitious, and drug-free youth. By broadcasting the inaugural event widely, Stalin galvanized statewide momentum for the campaign, affirming that his administration will deploy every administrative and technological resource to dismantle drug cartels and ensure a safe, addiction-free environment across all collegiate and school educational campuses throughout every district in Tamil Nadu.
