Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. The landmark industrial policy is structured to attract substantial domestic and international capital investments, upgrade manufacturing technologies, and generate tens of thousands of quality employment opportunities, particularly for rural women workers across northern and western districts.

Stalin highlighted that Tamil Nadu already accounts for a dominant share of India's total leather footwear manufacturing and export earnings. Under the newly unveiled policy, the state government offers tailored fiscal subsidies, green infrastructure incentives, specialized non-leather footwear parks, and plug-and-play production facilities to encourage large-scale component manufacturing and design innovation.

The Chief Minister stressed that industrial growth must prioritize balanced regional development and worker welfare. He assured global investors, leather goods manufacturers, and brand representatives that his administration will provide streamlined single-window regulatory clearances and dependable logistics support, consolidating Tamil Nadu's position as Asia's foremost manufacturing and export powerhouse for premium footwear and leather goods across competitive regional and international export markets.
