Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid glowing floral tributes to DMK founder and former Chief Minister Perarignar C.N. Anna on his 114th birth anniversary, calling upon party cadres and citizens to rededicate themselves to the service of the state. Stalin recalled Anna's magnetic eloquence, progressive literature, and political awakening of the masses, which liberated the Tamil nation from feudal backwardness and cultural subjugation.
The Chief Minister underscored Anna's historic constitutional achievements, including legally renaming Madras State as Tamil Nadu, institutionalizing the two-language policy to protect linguistic diversity, and conferring statutory validity on self-respect marriages. Stalin noted that Anna's governing philosophy of seeing God in the smile of the poor remains the moral compass guiding the present Dravidian Model administration. The government continues to execute people-centric welfare policies that uplift underprivileged households across all districts.
Stalin affirmed that Anna's visionary teachings provide ideological armor against forces threatening state autonomy and linguistic rights. He pledged that his government will tirelessly champion Tamil culture, federal democracy, and social progress, honoring Anna's eternal contributions, progressive ideas, and unceasing service to humanity and social reform.
