Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art TIDEL Park in Madurai at an estimated outlay of six hundred crore rupees during the Southern Regional MSME Conclave. Addressing industrial delegates, young entrepreneurs, and business leaders, Stalin stated that the marquee technology park will generate over ten thousand direct and indirect employment opportunities for skilled youth in southern districts.
The Chief Minister asserted that his administration is determined to decentralize industrial and software development away from Chennai, ensuring balanced regional growth across tier-two and tier-three cities. Stalin highlighted that Madurai, with its rich talent pool and renowned educational institutions, is uniquely positioned to emerge as southern Tamil Nadu's foremost information technology powerhouse. The planned park will feature eco-friendly infrastructure, high-speed data networks, and subsidized incubation facilities for local technology startups.
Stalin reaffirmed that the state government will wholeheartedly support micro, small, and medium enterprises, recognizing them as the backbone of Tamil Nadu's industrial prosperity. His strategic initiative demonstrates a clear commitment to fostering geographically dispersed industrialization and providing thousands of high-value technical careers for talented local youth across southern districts.
