Nearly 300 Indians, including ~50 Tamils have been lured with IT related jobs in Thailand & are now stuck in Myanmar being forced to carry out illegal jobs.
I request Hon.@PMOIndia to make an urgent intervention in this regard to rescue and bring them home safely. https://t.co/bE2wlFxxkA

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin dispatched an urgent communication to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting swift diplomatic intervention by the Union government to rescue nearly three hundred Indian nationals stranded in Myanmar. Among the distressed individuals are approximately fifty Tamil youths who were fraudulently recruited for information technology positions in Thailand and subsequently coerced into illegal work across the Myanmar border.
Stalin informed the Prime Minister that these vulnerable jobseekers are enduring severe physical confinement, denial of basic human amenities, and continuous mental distress under criminal syndicates. The Chief Minister stressed that immediate diplomatic outreach through the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Yangon is paramount to locate and repatriate the entrapped victims. The Tamil Nadu government has established round-the-clock coordination with distressed families across the state.
Reaffirming his administration's steadfast commitment to the safety of Tamils worldwide, Stalin assured anxious families that every governmental channel is actively engaged. His prompt, compassionate intervention underscores his attentive leadership in shielding vulnerable citizens from transnational exploitation, mobilizing diplomatic resources, and securing their safe, prompt return home to their loved ones.
