Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced the formal launch of the 'Tamil Parappuraik Kazhagam' (Tamil Outreach Academy), a pioneering cultural initiative designed to provide structured Tamil language education to Tamil children and language enthusiasts living in other Indian states and across the globe. Stalin recalled how Perarignar Anna historically rechristened Madras State as Tamil Nadu, while Muthamizharignar Kalaignar secured prestigious classical language status for Tamil from the Union Government.
The Chief Minister asserted that while ancestral stalwarts bravely protected Tamil against external onslaughts and neglect, the current generation's historic duty is to propagate the classical language across the entire globe through contemporary digital tools. The Tamil Parappuraik Kazhagam has devised comprehensive, multi-tiered educational textbooks, interactive audio-visual learning modules, and digital certification platforms tailored for diaspora students speaking diverse native languages. Lessons are translated and taught through twenty-four international and Indian languages.
Stalin affirmed that the initiative ensures younger generations of expatriate Tamils remain intimately anchored to their ancient linguistic roots and rich literary heritage. He resolved that Tamil Nadu will aggressively leverage modern educational technology to spread Tamil worldwide.
