Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the state-of-the-art consumer electronics manufacturing facility established by Taiwanese technology major Pegatron India at the Mahindra World City in Chengalpattu. Built with a capital investment of approximately one thousand one hundred crore rupees, the facility is projected to generate over fourteen thousand direct employment opportunities, predominantly empowering young women technicians and diploma holders from surrounding rural districts.

Stalin emphasized that the inauguration marks a watershed milestone in positioning Tamil Nadu as the electronics hardware manufacturing capital of South Asia. He explained that his administration is purposefully focusing on high-growth sunrise sectors to absorb the state's talented technical workforce into quality industrial careers. The state's seamless industrial infrastructure, plug-and-play parks, single-window clearances, and tranquil labor relations continue to attract prominent global Fortune 500 manufacturers away from international competitors.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed his government's commitment to facilitating global supply chain integrations, fostering domestic vendor networks, and providing tailored industrial training programs.
