Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conveyed profound gratitude to DMK cadres and leaders across the state following his unanimous election as President of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam for a consecutive second term. Addressing the party's General Council, Stalin described the DMK as a rationalist, socio-political movement dedicated to preserving self-respect, linguistic dignity, and social justice for the Tamil people.
Stalin solemnly pledged to follow the philosophical ideals charted by Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna, and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar, vowing to dedicate every ounce of his energy to defending state rights and regional autonomy. He recalled his six decades of disciplined grassroots service within the party, rising from an ordinary youth cadre to general secretary and party president, attributing his political journey to the steadfast affection of party workers.
The Chief Minister asserted that the DMK's leadership role extends beyond state boundaries to defending constitutional democracy and federal governance nationwide. He called upon party cadres to work with renewed dedication, maintaining close touch with the public and carrying forward the historic civilizational principles of the Dravidian self-respect movement. Stalin affirmed that grassroots cadre unity remains the greatest pillar of strength for the party's enduring ideological journey.
