If implemented, the vast non-Hindi speaking population will be made second-class citizens in their own land.
Imposing Hindi is against the integrity of India.
The BJP govt would do well to learn lessons from the Anti-Hindi agitations in the past.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a stern warning to the BJP-led Union Government against enforcing compulsory Hindi, asserting that such moves would relegate the vast majority of non-Hindi speaking Indians to second-class citizens in their own country. Stalin emphasized that linguistic chauvinism directly undermines the national integrity of India, which was forged as a voluntary union of diverse linguistic and cultural nationalities.
Recalling Tamil Nadu's heroic history of resistance against linguistic hegemony, Stalin advised the central ruling establishment to learn vital lessons from the historic Anti-Hindi agitations of the past. He pointed out that the youth and students of Tamil Nadu made supreme sacrifices in 1965 to protect their mother tongue and defeat central language diktats. He warned that rekindling linguistic conflict through bureaucratic committee reports will provoke nationwide unrest among non-Hindi speaking states.
Stalin called for unconditional adherence to the constitutional guarantees provided by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru regarding language autonomy. He declared that the DMK will spearhead democratic resistance against language domination, ensuring that all Indian citizens enjoy equal rights, dignified participation, and equal opportunities regardless of language.
