Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that the state government has officially recommended transferring the Coimbatore car cylinder explosion investigation to the National Investigation Agency. Following a comprehensive high-level security review with top police officials and home department secretaries at the secretariat, Stalin cited the cross-border linkages and potential transnational nature of the conspiracy behind the blast near the Kottai Eswaran Temple.
Commending the state police for their prompt and effective initial action, Stalin observed that special teams apprehended key suspects within hours of the explosion and seized explosive materials, preventing potential subsequent incidents. However, recognizing that inter-state networks and international elements might be involved, the state administration deemed it necessary to involve central investigative agencies to unravel the full operational conspiracy and overseas connections.
The Chief Minister affirmed that his administration maintains absolute zero tolerance toward communal discord, anti-national activities, and terrorism. Stalin assured the public that robust administrative and security measures have been deployed statewide to preserve social harmony, reinforce police surveillance, and vigorously protect public peace across all districts of Tamil Nadu. The government remains vigilant in guaranteeing that regional peace and civil order are never compromised.
