Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin unveiled a full-length bronze statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at his memorial complex in Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai, paying homage to the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. Describing Ambedkar as a radiant beacon of intellect who dispelled ignorance and shattered the centuries-old shackles of caste subjugation, Stalin underscored that his egalitarian philosophy remains the only viable blueprint for India's democratic future.

Stalin noted that Ambedkar's lifelong battle against untouchability and social hierarchy aligns intimately with the self-respect ideals pioneered by Thanthai Periyar. The state government continually advances this progressive legacy by implementing affirmative social legislation, celebrating Ambedkar's birth anniversary as Equality Day, and publishing his complete writings in Tamil. The Chief Minister declared that modern governance must reflect constitutional morality by guaranteeing equal economic opportunities and personal dignity for all oppressed citizens.
