Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed profound gratitude and hearty appreciation to thousands of frontline workers, civic personnel, and elected representatives who worked tirelessly around the clock to protect citizens during Cyclone Mandous. Stalin singled out sanitation workers, municipal corporation staff, electricity board linesmen, police personnel, and fire and rescue services for their heroic ground-level operations amidst pounding rain and howling winds.

The Chief Minister also commended Members of Parliament, Legislative Assembly members, city mayors, deputy mayors, and local ward councillors who remained physically present on waterlogged streets, coordinating relief shelters and distributing food packets to stranded residents. The seamless coordination between elected democratic representatives and administrative emergency machinery ensured that emergency clearance began the very moment storm intensity decreased, preventing long-term disruptions to power, transport, and daily life.

Stalin asserted that the relentless dedication exhibited by frontline sanitation workers and public employees represents the true soul of public service.
