Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presided over a momentous state ceremony in Chennai to inaugurate the magnificent centenary commemorative arch and officially rename the historic Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) campus as the 'Perasiriyar Anbazhagan Educational Complex'. Addressing education department officials, teachers, and students, Stalin highlighted that naming the headquarters of the state's school education administration after Anbazhagan is the most fitting tribute to an intellectual who dedicated his life to teaching and educational reform.
Stalin recalled Anbazhagan's pioneering tenure as Education Minister, during which he championed rural school infrastructure, expanded teacher recruitment, modernized curriculums, and democratized access to higher education for socially marginalized communities. Under his visionary stewardship, schools across Tamil Nadu became instruments of egalitarian transformation. Naming the apex educational campus after him ensures that his noble educational ideals permanently inspire teachers and administrative policymakers.
The Chief Minister emphasized that his administration's massive school modernization drive, the 'Perasiriyar Anbazhagan School Development Scheme', continues this legacy by constructing thousands of modern classrooms. Stalin affirmed that Tamil Nadu will continually advance Anbazhagan's egalitarian educational mission, ensuring excellent, cost-free public education for every child.
