I urge Hon. @PMOIndia to do away with this skewed recruitment pattern & ensure adequate representation of Tamils in GoI offices. https://t.co/BTardEGL17

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin wrote an urgent memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing deep concern over the dismal selection rates of candidates from the southern region in central recruitment examinations. Citing recent outcomes of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB), Stalin pointed out that disproportionately low representation of southern applicants has caused widespread frustration and resentment among educated unemployed youth.
Stalin demanded an immediate overhaul of the skewed examination patterns, eligibility criteria, and administrative processes that systematically disadvantage regional language candidates. He called upon the Union Government to conduct all central competitive examinations in Tamil and other scheduled regional languages, ensuring an equal playing field. He also urged the establishment of more examination centers across Tamil Nadu to prevent logistical hardships for rural aspirants.
The Chief Minister emphasized that equitable regional representation in Government of India offices and public sector undertakings is vital for maintaining administrative efficiency, national cohesion, and federal balance. Stalin reiterated that his administration will persistently advocate for the employment rights of Tamil Nadu's youth until institutional recruitment reforms are fully enacted by central agencies.
