Chief Minister M.K. Stalin attended a grand state-level conference in Tiruchirappalli to distribute extensive credit linkage loans and excellence awards to outstanding women's self-help groups (SHGs). Addressing thousands of women gathered from across the district, Stalin celebrated the entrepreneurial resilience of rural women and reaffirmed his government's steadfast commitment to ensuring absolute financial autonomy and social dignity for women across Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Minister presented prestigious awards to the best-performing SHGs, recognizing their exemplary micro-enterprises, prudent financial management, and community leadership. Under his administration, the government waived cooperative jewel loans and legacy SHG debts, while vastly expanding institutional bank credit linkages to help women launch productive micro-businesses, cooperative manufacturing units, and value-added agricultural ventures.
Stalin asserted that women's financial independence is the true foundation of economic transformation and social progress in the Dravidian Model of governance. By securing access to low-interest capital and marketing networks, women are becoming confident economic leaders in their families and villages. He promised that the state administration will continue pioneering targeted policies that protect women's rights, enhance their earning power, and ensure inclusive welfare across all regions.
