Stalin recalled that forty-nine years ago, former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi released 166 higher education titles in Tamil, establishing the vital precedent that advanced science, engineering, law, and medicine can be taught effectively in the mother tongue.

The Chief Minister described his action as a proud continuation of his father's pioneering legacy, observing that sons carrying forward the progressive missions initiated by their fathers forms a cherished Dravidian tradition. The newly published volumes span specialized academic disciplines including technical engineering, computational mathematics, clinical medicine, agricultural science, and humanities, authored and peer-reviewed by leading university professors and subject specialists. The books will be made accessible at affordable prices across university libraries.

Stalin emphasized that teaching higher education in Tamil democratizes professional knowledge, enabling rural students from vernacular medium backgrounds to excel in advanced academia without linguistic handicaps.
