Chief Minister M.K. Stalin underscored Tamil Nadu's cultural mission to elevate Tamil literature into global prominence, recalling how visionary leaders Mahakavi Subramania Bharati and Thanthai Periyar translated global classics into Tamil to broaden citizens' intellectual horizons. Stalin observed that while earlier pioneers brought world knowledge into Tamil to eradicate obscurantism, the present state administration is executing the reverse historical mission of carrying Tamil literary treasures outward to the global community.

Through initiatives like the Chennai International Book Fair and the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation, the state government is funding high-quality translations of classical and contemporary Tamil literary works into major international languages. This systematic endeavor ensures that timeless Tamil perspectives on universal humanism, egalitarian ethics, and secular democracy reach academic institutions, scholars, and readers across diverse continents and linguistic territories.

Stalin emphasized that celebrating linguistic heritage requires proactive translation infrastructure rather than passive nostalgia. He reiterated that his government will continuously sponsor intellectual exchange programs, support professional translators, and forge partnerships with premier international publishers to ensure Tamil's rightful place among the preeminent literary traditions of the modern world.
