Chief Minister M.K. Stalin noted with satisfaction that Tamil Nadu's state tableau at the 74th Republic Day parade in New Delhi centered on celebrating women's monumental contributions to society while projecting the architectural zenith of the Dravidian tradition and the glory of the imperial Cholas to a global audience. Stalin emphasized that the tableau's artistic design seamlessly wove together progressive gender empowerment and magnificent historical heritage.
The presentation highlighted the enduring architectural marvels of the Chola dynasty, renowned for soaring granite temple vimanas, intricate bronzes, and pioneering local self-governance traditions documented in the historical Uthiramerur inscriptions. By situating statues of historic women leaders against the backdrop of majestic Dravidian temple architecture, the tableau asserted Tamil Nadu's civilization as one defined by both cultural grandeur and progressive social enlightenment. Stalin observed that millions of viewers witnessed the state's distinctive cultural identity.
Stalin reaffirmed that his government places women's empowerment and cultural pride at the center of its administrative vision. He stated that showcasing Tamil Nadu's timeless architectural legacy alongside its radical social reformers reinforces the state's rightful stature as a beacon of artistic excellence, historical depth, and gender equality within the Indian union.
