Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the landmark Professor Anbazhagan School Development Scheme in Vellore, laying foundation stones for 114 modern classroom buildings as part of an ambitious statewide infrastructure modernization program. Stalin announced that the state government has allocated 784 crore rupees to construct 5,351 new classrooms across government primary, middle, and higher secondary schools throughout all thirty-eight districts of Tamil Nadu.

Named in honor of veteran Dravidian leader, educationist, and former minister K. Anbazhagan, the initiative aims to replace dilapidated school structures with resilient concrete buildings equipped with modern teaching amenities, smart digital boards, safe drinking water, and hygienic sanitation blocks. Stalin pointed out that quality physical environments in public schools are foundational to student learning, teacher morale, and the elimination of educational disparities between affluent private schools and state-run institutions.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the Dravidian Model governance prioritizes comprehensive school transformation, integrating classroom upgrades with nutritional breakfast programs and higher education assistance for girls.
