Addressing an academic gathering at the Vellore Institute of Technology, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin commended university founder and Chancellor G. Stalin noted that naming a newly constructed student residence hall after former Chief Minister M. The Chief Minister observed that the Dravidian movement has historically recognized higher education and scientific inquiry as vital instruments for social emancipation and regional self-respect. From its inception as an engineering college to its current standing as a globally recognized research university, VIT has expanded educational access for thousands of students from across India and abroad.
