(1/2) https://t.co/RbM30iKR4X

Speaking before a massive gathering during his seventieth birthday rally in Chennai, DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered an impassioned appeal for national political unity among opposition parties to protect the democratic fabric of India. Stalin warned that persistent communal polarization, dilution of federal principles, and central overreach pose a grave danger to the unity of the Indian subcontinent, necessitating a united national democratic coalition against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
The DMK leader underscored that opposition parties must set aside regional differences and personal political ambitions to forge a unified national platform. He pointed out that the Secular Progressive Alliance in Tamil Nadu has successfully demonstrated how diverse democratic forces can collaborate constructively based on ideological coherence, mutual respect, and pro-people welfare policies. Stalin stressed that this successful alliance model must be replicated across other states to ensure victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Stalin reiterated that protecting India's pluralism, linguistic rights, and constitutional freedoms is a non-negotiable historical duty. He pledged that the DMK will act as a steadfast catalyst, mobilizing democratic forces nationwide to re-establish secular democracy and federal autonomy.
