Delivering the keynote address during the live centenary celebrations of veteran communist pioneer Comrade P. Manickam, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin recounted Manickam's unblemished integrity, organizational brilliance, and fearless defense of marginalized industrial and rural laborers over more than five decades of committed grassroots leadership.

The Chief Minister underscored that the alliance between the DMK and Left parties is not merely an opportunistic electoral arrangement, but a principled ideological partnership rooted in common resistance to sectarianism, economic inequality, and centralized autocracy. He stated that Manickam's lifelong dedication to secularism, labor dignity, and social justice remains an enduring source of inspiration for democratic forces striving to safeguard the constitutional framework of the Indian republic.

Stalin called upon progressive cadres to strengthen inter-party solidarity, resist authoritarian policies, and champion the welfare of the working class. He pledged that the Tamil Nadu government will continue to protect workers' rights, expand welfare boards, and ensure fair minimum wages, honoring the cherished ideals for which leaders like Manickam struggled.
