Commemorating the foundational milestone laid by Arignar C.N. Annadurai, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid glowing tribute to the visionary statesman whose political philosophy established the blueprint for the Dravidian Model governance. Stalin reflected on Anna's historic call to elevate the self-respect of the Tamil people, noting that Anna was not merely a political leader, but a transformative collective consciousness that awakened an oppressed society into assertive self-governance.
The Chief Minister observed that Anna's administration laid the groundwork for linguistic pride, state autonomy, and secular welfare policy. By legally renaming Madras State as Tamil Nadu, institutionalizing self-respect marriages without priestly rituals, and implementing subsidized rice distribution, Anna established government as an instrument of compassion for the poorest citizens. Stalin emphasized that every modern policy undertaken by the current DMK administration directly derives its moral authority from Anna's egalitarian teachings.
Stalin urged citizens and party cadres to rededicate themselves to fulfilling Anna's unfulfilled aspirations of true federalism and equitable wealth distribution. He affirmed that defending state rights against centralizing encroachment remains the highest tribute that modern Tamil society can render to Anna.
