The arrest of Delhi Dy CM @msisodia on trumped up allegations is terrorising the due process of law.
It is misuse of power and reminds of Emergency days.
I appeal to Hon'ble @PMOIndia to uphold residual reputation of investigating agencies & direct the release of @msisodia. https://t.co/1mlifxljge

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a stern condemnation regarding the arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, characterizing the punitive action as an assault on legal due process and democratic governance. Writing directly to the Prime Minister, Stalin expressed profound dismay over the blatant weaponization of central investigative institutions against prominent opposition figures, remarking that such coercive measures revive dark memories of the authoritarian Emergency era.
Stalin argued that executing arrests on unverified allegations damages the professional credibility and remaining institutional reputation of premier central agencies. Rather than functioning as autonomous watchdogs of national integrity, regulatory apparatuses are being openly deployed to intimidate elected state administrations and disrupt opposition-led policy initiatives. The Chief Minister pointed out that Sisodia's pioneering educational reforms in Delhi public schools had earned international acclaim, making his targeted detention particularly reprehensible.
Urging immediate corrective intervention, Stalin appealed to the Union leadership to halt the victimization of political rivals and order Sisodia's immediate release. He called upon regional and national democratic parties to unite against the systematic erosion of federal autonomy. Stalin reiterated that defending independent state leaders and procedural fairness is vital to preserve constitutional democracy from authoritarian central overreach.
