DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the special commemorative address at the Platinum Jubilee conference of the Indian Union Muslim League in Chennai. Addressing thousands of delegates, Stalin celebrated the long-standing mutual trust and respect that has anchored the alliance between DMK and IUML across more than five decades. He pointed out that former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi always held Quaid-e-Millath in the highest esteem, consulting him on vital matters of social cohesion and constitutional reform.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Tamil Nadu's social peace and exceptional economic stability are direct outcomes of its secular political culture and zero-tolerance policy toward communal disharmony. Stalin outlined various welfare policies instituted by his administration to uplift linguistic and religious minorities, including expanded educational scholarships, upgraded infrastructure for minority educational institutions, and financial subsidies for self-employment enterprises. He urged minority youth to participate actively in democratic movements defending secular democracy.
Concluding his address, Stalin rallied progressive democratic forces across India to unite against centralist authoritarianism. He reaffirmed that the DMK-IUML alliance will remain an unyielding fortress protecting minority dignity and constitutional values.
