Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin participated in the grand Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in Chennai, honoring seventy-five years of the party's patriotic public service. Stalin recalled the towering leadership of Quaid-e-Millath Muhammad Ismail Sahib, whose principled statesmanship and commitment to communal harmony left an indelible mark on Indian parliamentary history. He emphasized that the historic alliance forged between Perarignar Anna and Quaid-e-Millath in 1967 brought transformative political change to Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Minister underscored that the bond between DMK and IUML transcends conventional electoral convenience, rooted instead in shared ideological commitments to secularism, social justice, and minority protection. In an era where divisive political forces seek to polarize communities along religious lines, the unbroken solidarity between the two organizations serves as a shining beacon of communal fraternity. Stalin praised IUML for its consistent moderation, patriotic dedication, and advocacy for minority educational advancement.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK will always stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Muslim community in defending their constitutional rights, personal liberties, and institutional security. He declared that secular unity will continue to triumph over sectarian prejudice.
