Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M.K. Stalin welcomed a substantial cohort of political functionaries and grassroots cadres joining the DMK from various opposition parties at a formal induction event in Chennai. Addressing the new entrants, Stalin emphasized that Perarignar Anna founded the DMK in 1949 specifically for the social emancipation and political empowerment of the oppressed Dravidian masses. It is this unwavering commitment to social justice and rationalist principles that has preserved the party's vitality across more than seven decades.

Stalin exhorted the new members to view their induction not merely as joining a political organization, but as dedicating themselves to an enduring ideological mission. He urged them to study the historic contributions of Anna and Kalaignar Karunanidhi and conduct themselves as principled ideological fighters in service of the people.
