Following the completion of official developmental programs in Coimbatore, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted surprise on-site inspections of major urban road construction works underway at Sowripalayam and HUDCO Colony. Stalin closely examined the quality of newly laid bitumen surfaces, underground storm water drainage channels, and pedestrian walkways alongside departmental engineers. The Chief Minister issued strict instructions to ensure that construction standards are met without compromise and that road restoration works are finalized swiftly to minimize public inconvenience.

Stalin emphasized that periodic field inspections by elected cabinet ministers and senior bureaucratic leadership are essential to eliminate administrative bottlenecks and accelerate execution. Direct monitoring prevents contractor delays, ensures compliance with municipal specifications, and holds implementing agencies directly accountable to the public. The Chief Minister highlighted that modernizing urban infrastructure across western Tamil Nadu, particularly the industrial hub of Coimbatore, remains a cornerstone of the Dravidian Model governance.

Concluding his inspection, Stalin reaffirmed that efficient road networks and high-quality civic infrastructure are vital to sustaining regional commerce and citizen mobility. He reiterated that his government will continuously monitor public works across all municipal corporations.
