On the International Day to Combat Islamophobia, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a strong message calling for united resistance against discrimination, hate speech, and persecution targeting religious minorities. Stalin noted that human history is replete with odious chapters of prejudice and violence that remain an indelible blot on civilization. He stressed that preserving constitutional secularism and ensuring equal rights for minority communities are fundamental duties of any civilized democracy governed by the rule of law.
The Chief Minister observed that sectarian intolerance and systemic marginalization undermine national cohesion and social progress. Under the Dravidian Model of governance, Tamil Nadu has consistently protected religious minorities, guaranteeing their cultural rights, institutional autonomy, and educational opportunities. Stalin emphasized that the founding ideals of the Indian Republic demand unconditional respect for diversity, fraternal solidarity among all faiths, and robust institutional safeguards against communal polarization.
Stalin urged political leaders, civic bodies, and democratic institutions across India to take an uncompromising stand against rising majoritarian bigotry. He reaffirmed Tamil Nadu's unwavering resolve to defend constitutional harmony, inclusive citizenship, and the dignity of all marginalized minority communities.
