Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced with deep emotional satisfaction that the state's flagship emergency healthcare initiative, the Innuyir Kaappom - Nammai Kaakkum 48 scheme, has successfully provided life-saving medical care to its 150,000th beneficiary, a citizen named Harikrishnan. Stalin reiterated that the Dravidian Model governance is anchored on delivering on promises and exceeding expectations to protect human life. The scheme guarantees comprehensive emergency medical treatment free of cost during the critical first 48 hours following a road accident.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the initiative eliminates financial hurdles and procedural delays at both government and empanelled private hospitals, ensuring that accident victims receive immediate critical intervention within the golden hour. Saving 1.5 lakh individuals translates directly into protecting 1.5 lakh families from devastating emotional and financial ruin. Stalin commended doctors, paramedical staff, ambulance workers, and healthcare administrators whose tireless dedication makes this humanitarian program an outstanding success across highways and rural roads statewide.
Stalin affirmed that public health infrastructure remains the bedrock of his government's social vision. He pledged to further expand trauma response networks to ensure no life is lost for lack of emergency care.
