I express my gratitude to Hon.@PMOIndia for selecting TN's Virudhunagar District for a PM MITRA Park.
It'll be a big boost to the textile sector in southern TN. Our SIPCOT has 1052 acres of land & ready to implement the project to generate employment for our youth. @PiyushGoyal
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conveyed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal for selecting Virudhunagar district as a host location for the PM MITRA Mega Textile Park. Welcoming the decision, Stalin stated that the project will provide a massive economic impetus to the textile sector across southern Tamil Nadu. He announced that SIPCOT already possesses 1,052 acres of contiguous land readily available for immediate site development and infrastructure rollout.
The Chief Minister emphasized that southern districts possess immense untapped industrial potential and a highly skilled workforce ready to participate in modern manufacturing. By establishing an integrated textile hub equipped with world-class logistics, uninterrupted power, and common effluent treatment systems, the Virudhunagar park will attract leading domestic and global garment manufacturers. Stalin underscored that generating quality employment opportunities for regional youth and women remains the foremost objective of this strategic project.
Stalin affirmed his administration's full readiness to implement the project without delay. He reiterated that Tamil Nadu remains a dependable and proactive partner in expanding India's manufacturing prowess and global export footprint.
