Stalin formally petitioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, requesting that the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) be designated as the Master Developer for the newly approved PM MITRA Mega Textile Park in Virudhunagar. Highlighting SIPCOT's proven track record spanning five decades, Stalin underscored the agency's exceptional capabilities in acquiring land, developing industrial infrastructure, and attracting global manufacturing enterprises to Tamil Nadu.

The Chief Minister pointed out that SIPCOT has already developed numerous world-class industrial parks, establishing specialized manufacturing clusters that drive regional economic growth across diverse districts. Designating SIPCOT as the master developer will enable immediate project execution, eliminating unnecessary administrative layers and accelerating infrastructure delivery for textile investors. Stalin emphasized that the state agency possesses the organizational expertise and institutional agility required to execute the mega project seamlessly.

Stalin affirmed that the Tamil Nadu government is fully prepared to collaborate closely with central authorities to make the Virudhunagar park a premier global textile hub. He urged swift central approval to fast-track regional industrialization and generate vital employment opportunities for local youth.
