The Dravidian Munnetra Kazhagam district secretaries convened in Chennai under the leadership of party president M.K. Stalin, unanimously adopting resolutions to celebrate the centenary of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi with statewide public events. Describing Karunanidhi as an incomparable guiding light of Indian politics, Stalin stressed that centenary commemorations must inspire grassroots cadres and reaffirm the foundational ideological principles of the Dravidian movement. The meeting served as a major organizational mobilization ahead of the crucial 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Stalin exhorted district office-bearers, grassroots organizers, and youth wing cadres to intensify outreach drives across every polling booth in Tamil Nadu. The party resolved to showcase Karunanidhi's historic legislative milestones alongside the contemporary achievements of the Stalin-led government. Stalin highlighted that the upcoming parliamentary elections will be decisive in safeguarding constitutional federalism, social justice, linguistic equality, and regional autonomy from centralist aggression.
The party president urged party workers to approach the electoral battleground with collective discipline, public outreach, and ideological clarity. Stalin concluded by rallying the entire party machinery to secure a comprehensive, historic victory across all parliamentary constituencies in the state.
