Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the inaugural address at the launch of the PM MITRA Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel Park in Virudhunagar district. Joined by Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Stalin emphasized that establishing this state-of-the-art textile manufacturing hub marks a transformative milestone for industrial development across southern Tamil Nadu. The project will bring modern spinning, weaving, processing, and garmenting facilities under a single integrated complex, establishing global supply chain linkages for regional manufacturers.

Stalin highlighted that the Virudhunagar textile park will generate direct and indirect employment for thousands of skilled youth and women from surrounding rural areas. By decentralizing heavy industrial investments away from established urban centers, the administration is ensuring equitable economic opportunities across all districts. The Chief Minister pointed out that Tamil Nadu already accounts for a significant portion of India's textile production, and this mega park will enhance export competitiveness worldwide.

Concluding his address, Stalin assured that the state government will provide uninterrupted power, water, logistical connectivity, and skilled workforce development. He reaffirmed that industrial expansion combined with inclusive social welfare defines Tamil Nadu's path toward economic prosperity.
