Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the keynote address during the foundation stone laying ceremony for modern district court complexes in Madurai. Speaking before senior members of the judiciary and the legal fraternity, Stalin outlined the state government's comprehensive vision to modernize judicial infrastructure across southern Tamil Nadu. He emphasized that accessible and efficient courts are essential to protect citizens' fundamental rights and maintain public faith in institutional governance.
The Chief Minister noted that Madurai's cultural history has long been intertwined with ideals of justice and fair administration. Investing in contemporary courtrooms, administrative blocks, and digitized archive facilities directly enhances working conditions for judges and advocates while expediting hearings for litigants. Stalin underlined that legal infrastructure must keep pace with demographic growth and technological modernization to eliminate procedural delays.
Reaffirming his administration's support, Stalin stated that budgetary allocations for court buildings and judicial staff amenities have expanded substantially under the Dravidian Model governance. He commended the legal community for defending democratic freedoms and pledged seamless coordination between the executive and the judiciary to complete the new Madurai facilities without delay.
