Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed the joint conference of district collectors and senior police officers live from the Secretariat in Chennai. Setting administrative priorities for field administrators, Stalin stressed that the district administration and police department constitute the dual arms of executive governance whose coordinated efficacy directly determines how effectively welfare policies reach ordinary citizens at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister directed district collectors to conduct regular field inspections, monitor the quality of public distribution systems, and expedite the delivery of welfare entitlements to eligible families. He warned against bureaucratic inertia in resolving long-pending citizen petitions submitted through the 'Chief Minister in Your Constituency' and 'Ungal Thoguthiyil Mudhalamaicher' portals. Stalin reminded officers that government performance is judged by tangible improvements in people's daily lives.
Stalin called upon police chiefs to enforce the law without bias or political interference, maintaining zero tolerance toward communal discord, caste-based friction, and narcotics trafficking. He urged both administrative wings to function in complete synergy, ensuring that public peace, social justice, and transparent governance are vigorously upheld across every district of Tamil Nadu.
