Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the valedictory address at the annual Tamil Nadu Police Officers Conference held in Chennai, providing comprehensive strategic directives to senior district superintendents, commissioners, and range inspectors general. Emphasizing that peace and public order are prerequisites for industrial development and societal welfare, Stalin instructed the police leadership to enforce the rule of law firmly, impartially, and without bowing to external pressures.
The Chief Minister placed special emphasis on strengthening community policing and enhancing the public interface of police stations. He mandated that every citizen approaching a police station must be received with dignity, and their complaints registered and investigated promptly. Stalin issued stern directives regarding zero tolerance toward custodial misconduct, illegal narcotics trade, organized crime syndicates, and offenses committed against women, children, and vulnerable marginalized communities.
Stalin also commended the police force for leveraging modern digital technologies, advanced surveillance networks, and specialized cybercrime units to solve complex cases swiftly. He assured the department of continued governmental backing in upgrading weapons, vehicles, forensic facilities, and housing, ensuring that Tamil Nadu Police maintains its stature as a model law enforcement force.
