Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin received Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Chennai and participated in the inaugural launch of the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express train and the new integrated terminal building at Chennai International Airport. Speaking on the occasion, Stalin welcomed the modern transportation assets, observing that high-speed rail connectivity and expanded aviation capacity are indispensable catalysts for accelerating regional trade, industrial productivity, and tourism across Tamil Nadu.

The Chief Minister emphasized that robust infrastructure development requires constructive cooperation between the Union Government and state administrations. While appreciating the introduction of the modern train service connecting the state capital with the industrial hub of Coimbatore, Stalin submitted critical development memorandums to the Prime Minister. He reiterated longstanding state demands for expedited approvals and central funding for pending railway line duplications, metro rail expansions, and highway infrastructure projects.

Stalin affirmed that Tamil Nadu's high-performing economy contributes substantially to national revenues, justifying proportionate federal capital investments in the state's transport networks. He assured the state government's full logistical cooperation in land acquisition and municipal infrastructure to ensure the swift execution of public connectivity projects.
