As a result of my letter to Hon @AmitShah, the Union Govt has announced that it would conduct the CAPF exams in all state languages.
I wholeheartedly welcome this decision & reiterate our demand to provide Question Papers in Tamil & other state languages in all Union Govt exams.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin welcomed the Union Ministry of Home Affairs' announcement permitting Central Armed Police Forces recruitment examinations to be conducted in thirteen regional languages alongside English and Hindi. The policy shift followed Stalin's official communication to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, wherein he protested the initial notification restricting the computer-based test to Hindi and English. Stalin had asserted that the discriminatory linguistic restriction unfairly disenfranchised youth from non-Hindi-speaking states across the country.
Commending the policy reversal as a significant initial victory for linguistic equality, Stalin reiterated his call for the Union Government to expand this principle universally. He urged central authorities to provide examination question papers in Tamil and other recognized state languages across all recruitment drives conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission, and Railway Recruitment Boards.
Stalin emphasized that equal access to central government employment is an inviolable constitutional right for all Indian citizens, regardless of their native tongue. He affirmed that Tamil Nadu will consistently champion language parity until all regional tongues enjoy complete equality in federal competitive testing and national administration.
