Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin celebrated the completion of the milestone hundredth edition of the flagship Maaperum Thamizh Kanavu cultural outreach initiative organized across higher educational institutions statewide. Launched on the memorial anniversary of former Chief Minister Perarignar C.N. Anna, the comprehensive youth awareness program has directly engaged over one lakh college students, fostering deep intellectual engagement with Tamil literature, historical heritage, and rationalist thought.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the campaign features renowned scholars, historians, and progressive thinkers addressing college auditoriums on themes ranging from ancient Sangam civilization to modern scientific advancements and constitutional rights. Stalin emphasized that nurturing cultural consciousness and historical pride among youth equips them with critical thinking, instills democratic values, and protects society against divisive, regressive ideologies that seek to undermine pluralistic regional heritage.
Stalin declared that the administration will continue relentlessly sowing the seeds of rational knowledge and linguistic pride among students. Resolving to protect Tamil identity, self-respect, and democratic resilience, the Chief Minister affirmed that empowering youth with education and cultural conviction guarantees that Tamil society will never falter in the face of modern challenges.
