Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed an urgent formal communication to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, offering the state administration's comprehensive cooperation and financial support for federal evacuation operations rescuing Indian citizens stranded in war-torn Sudan. Commending the central government's proactive initiation of Operation Kaveri, Stalin stressed the vital necessity of rapidly tracking, extracting, and repatriating hundreds of vulnerable Tamil expatriates caught in escalating military clashes.
The Chief Minister assured that the Tamil Nadu government is ready to collaborate closely with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Khartoum. He detailed that the state's Non-Resident Tamils Welfare Department has established dedicated emergency helplines and data coordination cells to collect precise details regarding trapped residents, transferring verified information continuously to federal diplomatic and defense teams operating on the ground.
Stalin affirmed that the Tamil Nadu government will fully fund and coordinate onward travel logistics, providing specialized medical support, local transit facilities, and domestic airfares until every rescued Tamil citizen returns safely to their native homes. He reiterated his administration's unwavering commitment to standing beside global Tamil communities during severe international crises.
