Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed profound anguish over the distressing plight of India's decorated wrestlers, who were compelled to stage public demonstrations in the national capital to safeguard their personal self-respect against pervasive sexual harassment. Stalin remarked that athletes who brought global sporting glory to the nation should never be subjected to administrative intimidation or denied institutional dignity. He reiterated that justice for female athletes must remain non-negotiable.

To demonstrate concrete political support, Stalin deputed DMK Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Pudugai Abdulla to personally visit the protest site in New Delhi. Abdulla met the agitating wrestlers on behalf of the party, conveying Stalin's unwavering solidarity and assuring total legislative backing in their fight against systemic abuse. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will persistently champion their legitimate demands across all constitutional and public forums until fair accountability is secured.
