We are shocked to witness the gross injustice being meted out to our champion wrestlers, who have brought glory to our nation. This is just not done.
Our Hon'ble Prime Minister keeps giving sermons on empowering women. Contrary to these false promises, torturing the victims and shielding the accused has become the hallmark of BJP as we have witnessed in the cases of Kathua, Unnao, Hathras, Bilkis Bano, etc.
I demand #JusticeForOurWrestlers!
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed profound shock and indignation over the ongoing mistreatment and police hostility directed toward India's decorated champion wrestlers protesting in the national capital. Stalin condemned the authorities for subjecting internationally acclaimed athletes, who brought immense global sporting glory to the country, to physical harassment while demanding accountability and legal action against alleged sexual abuse in their federation.
The Chief Minister criticized the stark contradiction between the Union government's rhetoric on women empowerment and its actual administrative conduct. Stalin pointed out that while the Prime Minister regularly delivers moralizing speeches regarding the protection of women, the ruling establishment consistently shields influential accused persons while persecuting vulnerable victims, citing a disturbing pattern previously witnessed in Kathua, Unnao, Hathras, and Bilkis Bano cases.
Stalin demanded immediate, impartial justice for the protesting wrestlers, affirming that no political figure or sporting federation official should remain above the law. He asserted that the struggle waged by these athletes represents a crucial fight for workplace safety, female dignity, and institutional accountability across Indian sports, urging citizens nationwide to support their righteous cause.
