Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered a keynote address during the live broadcast of the foundation-stone laying ceremony for Mitsubishi Electric India's state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Tiruvallur district. The prominent Japanese multinational's facility, established with a capital outlay of 1,891 crore rupees, represents a milestone in expanding Tamil Nadu's domestic precision engineering, consumer appliance manufacturing, and high-end electronics assembly sectors across South India.
In his address to industrial dignitaries and international representatives, Stalin outlined Tamil Nadu's compelling advantages as a premier destination for global capital. He detailed how administrative transparency, comprehensive industrial infrastructure, supportive state incentives, and a world-class skilled workforce have attracted leading global corporations. The Chief Minister noted that the Gummidipoondi plant will directly employ two thousand technical workers, strengthening the local industrial ecosystem and providing immense ancillary opportunities.
Stalin reiterated the Dravidian Model administration's resolve to transform Tamil Nadu into South Asia's primary manufacturing powerhouse. He emphasized that sustained industrial growth must foster inclusive prosperity, assuring continued governmental facilitation for foreign direct investments that deliver meaningful employment, technological capability, and regional economic transformation throughout the state.
