Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered a special address during a live civic event in Kolathur, formally dedicating the Mayor C. Citti Babu flyover to the public and laying foundation stones for numerous urban welfare initiatives. The long-awaited road overbridge establishes direct, seamless connectivity between Kolathur and Villivakkam, eliminating perennial traffic gridlocks at local railway crossings and dramatically cutting daily travel times for thousands of suburban commuters and residents.

Reflecting on his deep personal bonds with Kolathur, which he has represented in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly for three consecutive tenures, Stalin underscored his administration's resolve to transform the constituency into a premier urban benchmark. Alongside the elevated corridor, he initiated civic projects worth hundreds of crores of rupees, including modern electrical distribution substations, integrated educational complexes, advanced healthcare clinics, and upgraded drainage networks.

Paying tribute to DMK stalwart and former Chennai Mayor Citti Babu, Stalin recalled his extraordinary supreme sacrifice during the Emergency era to defend democratic freedoms. He declared that durable infrastructure serves as the greatest living memorial to dedicated public servants, pledging that the Dravidian Model governance will continually expand modern transit facilities and high-quality civic amenities across Chennai.
