Hearty congratulations to Hon'ble @siddaramaiah avaru and Hon'ble @DKShivakumar avaru on taking oath as the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka respectively.

I sincerely believe that the secular duo will take the state of #Karnataka to newer heights with their able administration.

The dawn heralded in the south should spread to the rest of India and today's swearing-in ceremony in Bengaluru is a bellwether of such change.

Editorial context

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar upon taking their official oaths as the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka respectively in Bengaluru. Stalin expressed confident belief that the seasoned secular leadership will guide Karnataka toward renewed economic progress, social peace, and progressive administrative excellence.

The Chief Minister highlighted the immense political significance of the Karnataka election outcome, characterizing the swearing-in ceremony as a historic turning point in contemporary Indian politics. Stalin observed that the decisive defeat of divisive politics in a major southern state demonstrates the enduring strength of secular, democratic, and regional federalist aspirations among the electorate. He noted that the progressive dawn witnessed in the south should inspire and spread across other regions of India to preserve constitutional democracy.

Stalin emphasized that democratic forces across India must maintain unified solidarity to protect federal principles, state autonomy, and institutional integrity from centralizing pressures. He expressed optimism that Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will work constructively together as neighboring states to foster inter-state cooperation, economic welfare, and harmonious federal relations throughout South India.
