கட்டுமானம், சுரங்கம் போன்ற மிகக் கடுமையான மனித உழைப்பைக் கோரும் துறைகளில், பணிகளை எளிமையாகவும் பாதுகாப்பாகவும் செய்து முடித்திடும் கருவிகளை உற்பத்தி செய்யும் நூற்றாண்டு பழமையான #Komatsu நிறுவனத்தின் ஒசாகா தொழிற்சாலையைப் பார்வையிட்டேன்.
ஏற்கனவே கடந்த 2007-ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழ்நாட்டில் #Komatsu தொழிற்சாலையை அமைச்சராகத் திறந்து வைத்த அதே உணர்வுடன், அந்நிறுவனம் தமிழ்நாட்டில் மேலும் முதலீடு செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று கோரி, #GIM2024-க்கு அழைப்பு விடுத்தேன்.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin toured the historic manufacturing plant of Komatsu Corporation in Osaka, Japan, to observe cutting-edge innovations in construction, mining, and industrial automation. Stalin praised Komatsu's century-long engineering heritage, noting that its specialized heavy machinery significantly reduces human strain and enhances workplace safety in arduous construction and resource extraction environments across global industrial project sites.
Recalling his personal association with the company, the Chief Minister noted that he had inaugurated Komatsu's initial manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu in 2007 during his tenure as the state's Industries Minister. He expressed immense satisfaction in witnessing the corporation's continued technological leadership, commending its focus on sustainable engineering and ergonomic design. During bilateral discussions with company leadership, Stalin invited Komatsu executives to expand their production footprint, advanced research initiatives, and local supply chain network in Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Minister formally invited Komatsu to participate in the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet scheduled for January 2024 in Chennai. He assured top executives of dedicated industrial land banks, uninterrupted green energy supply, and swift regulatory approvals to ensure productive and enduring long-term economic collaboration.
