Chief Minister M.K. Stalin attended a warm cultural reception organized by the Japan Tamil Sangam in Tokyo, providing a welcome period of camaraderie amidst his intensive official schedule. Stalin expressed deep emotion while watching diaspora children perform traditional Tamil classical arts, noting that their dedicated efforts keep ancient linguistic heritage vibrant thousands of miles away from home across East Asia.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister reflected on the intriguing phonetic and cultural affinities shared between the Tamil and Japanese languages, which have historically fostered close intercultural harmony. Stalin appealed to Tamils residing in Japan to maintain deep ties with their ancestral homeland and introduce the younger generation to Tamil Nadu's rich civilizational history. He cordially invited diaspora families to visit the world-class Keeladi archaeological museum and the upcoming Porunai river civilization museum.
Stalin assured expatriates that the Tamil Nadu government and the DMK administration remain resolutely dedicated to safeguarding the welfare, safety, and cultural aspirations of the global Tamil diaspora. He applauded their professional accomplishments in Japan, noting that their hard work enhances the international reputation of Tamils worldwide.
