Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid glowing tributes to venerable statesman and freedom fighter Quaide Milleth Muhammad Ismail on his birth anniversary, honoring his monumental contributions to the nation. Stalin recalled that Quaide Milleth sacrificed his collegiate education to plunge into the Indian freedom struggle, demonstrating selfless patriotism. During crucial debates in the Constituent Assembly, Quaide Milleth famously and resolutely argued that Tamil, as an ancient classical language, rightfully possessed every qualification to be declared the official language of India.
The Chief Minister noted that Quaide Milleth commanded such immense public affection and trust that he won multiple parliamentary and legislative elections without even visiting the constituencies to campaign. Stalin highlighted Quaide Milleth's fearless advocacy for minority rights, communal harmony, and social justice. He recalled Thanthai Periyar's moving words upon Quaide Milleth's demise, mourning that it would be rare to find another leader of such integrity.
Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian movement continues to cherish Quaide Milleth's ideals of secular coexistence and minority empowerment. He called upon all citizens to actively follow Quaide Milleth's exemplary path of democratic values and communal brotherhood.
