I thank Thiru @Kharge, Thiru @PawarSpeaks, Hon'ble @MamataOfficial, Hon'ble @ArvindKejriwal, Thiru @SitaramYechury and all the opposition leaders for strongly condemning the undemocratic ED raid unleashed by Union BJP Government at Tamil Nadu Secretariat and offending the Cooperative Federalism.
We are unfazed, undeterred and will remain committed in our opposition to BJP's intimidatory tactics and undemocratic raids.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed profound gratitude to prominent national opposition leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. Stalin acknowledged their unequivocal condemnation of the Enforcement Directorate's intrusive search operations conducted inside the Tamil Nadu Secretariat. He characterized the federal agency's unannounced entry into the state's administrative headquarters as a direct assault on cooperative federalism.
The Chief Minister asserted that the DMK remains completely unfazed and undeterred by central intimidatory tactics, fabricated cases, and politically motivated raids. He noted that the spontaneous solidarity demonstrated by prominent democratic forces nationwide reflects growing alarm over the erosion of constitutional norms. Stalin stressed that the Union government is utilizing autonomous statutory bodies as political weapons to suppress regional democratic voices and elected state administrations.
Stalin affirmed that Tamil Nadu will continue to lead national opposition coordination to safeguard state autonomy and constitutional rights. He declared that collective democratic resistance across party lines is vital for defending Indian federalism against authoritarian centralization.
